Hollyoaks airs new Dilly twist as Liberty returns

Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Tuesday.

Hollyoaks tonight aired a dramatic return for Jessamy Stoddart's Liberty, who returned to the village and immediately became embroiled in drama.

Stoddart had been on maternity leave, so Liberty was written out of the show for a while – but she returned tonight (February 5).

The episode began with Sienna interrogating Dilly. She asked her why Dilly was impersonating her missing brother, Rafe. Dilly explained that she found Rafe’s phone and was tired of Sienna moping while Ethan slyly stole the phone from her.

Later, Ethan tried to get into the phone but couldn’t get the passcode right. Theresa then helped Ethan crack the code, explaining she had a similar side hustle while in Spain.

Back at Dilly’s house, Ethan demanded to know why there were intimate photos of her and Rafe together. Dilly then produced a memory box of photos of her and Rafe.

A save-the-date card for Dilly and Rafe’s wedding was also in the box. Dilly came clean about her and Rafe's plan, and admitted they were married.

Dilly broke down, admitting that Rafe, who died in January, had left her as well as Sienna. She said that neither of them were going to see him again.

Later, Dilly sobbed in the basement when she heard creaks, assuming Sienna had come back. That's when the returning Liberty entered, asking if anyone was there.

Dilly, thinking it was Sienna, then attacked Liberty, who fell to the floor unconscious. Dilly, realising her mistake, loomed over the unconscious Liberty, panicking.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
