Yahoo News Hollyoaks airs dramatic collapse for Dave Chen-Williams
Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Tuesday.
Hollyoaks’ Dave Chen-Williams found himself at the bottom of a spiral tonight after he collapsed following his drug relapse.
Previously, Dave had been trying to support Cindy Cunningham after her niece, Ella Richardson, died in the crash. Early on in the episode on Channel 4 streaming on Monday (January 29), Dave explained that he was worried about Cindy and tried to comfort her.
But Cindy pushed him away, insisting that he couldn’t help. A dejected Dave settled into the corner of the pub.

The celebration of Ella at the pub was then interrupted by an argument between Cindy and Suzanne as it was revealed the former bribed the latter to leave the village years ago.
Dave then yelled at everyone to be quiet and remember why they were there: to celebrate Ella. Dave reminded Cindy that she’s still got him, even if she looks “straight through him” these days. With that, Dave left the pub.
Peri then asked Dave for more drugs and, while he tried to deny her and warn her off the self-destructive path, Peri blackmailed him and threatened to tell people about his relapse.

Later, after she had taken drugs, Peri was told she was working a shift at the hospital. Meanwhile, Dave continued to drink and take drugs at the pub.
Emerging from the toilets, Dave clutched his chest and collapsed to the floor in agony. Dave’s fate was left in the balance as the episode ended, but a post-credits scene showed Peri struggling to sober up while working in the hospital.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
