Yahoo News Hollyoaks airs drinking crisis for Frankie Osborne

Hollyoaks has aired a devastating drinking crisis for Frankie Osborne.
It was previously confirmed by the Channel 4 soap that Frankie had been sexually abused by her twin brother JJ when they were children, something which the rest of her family are unaware of.
Frankie had previously repressed the memories but is now starting to remember what happened. The recollections have left her struggling to cope and, after lashing out due to an involuntary response caused by a trigger, landed her in police custody.
Tonight's (March 29) first-look episode saw the Osborne/Ashworth household visited by a social worker who asked Frankie if something had happened in order to cause her to develop the stress reaction.

Upon learning that Frankie suffered with outbursts of anger, the social worker questioned if something had happened to her in order to trigger her reaction.
"In my experience young people don't lash out for no reason, are you scared Frankie?" she said. "If someone's making you feel like that, you need to tell me."
Frankie appeared to want to open up about the abuse she had suffered, however, after spotting JJ listening in on their conversation she changed her mind and claimed her actions were due to feeling left out at school.
After the visit Suzanne was left struggling to find the right way to support her daughter, ultimately deciding to move out after Darren and Nancy suggested that Frankie would benefit from having some independence.

But the plan backfired and left the teenager feeling even more vulnerable.
Heartbroken, Frankie demanded to be left alone and swiped a bottle of vodka on her way upstairs.
Later on, JJ went in to Frankie's room to speak to her but was left horrified to discover his sister unconscious and choking after drinking an entire bottle.
Fortunately, JJ and Darren were able to get her breathing again before phoning an ambulance for assistance – but will Frankie be able to get the support she needs?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
