Yahoo News Hollyoaks airs heartbreaking scenes in Juliet death story

Hollyoaks has aired tragic scenes as Juliet has been forced to tell her mum Donna-Marie Quinn that she is dying of cancer.
Juliet had been hoping she could keep the devastating diagnosis a secret until after her brother James Nightingale's wedding but was overheard talking about her options.
In Tuesday's (May 16) first-look episode, Juliet at first refused to accept that she wouldn't win her fight against cancer, telling her family instead that she would be restarting treatment.

Juliet managed to convince Peri to go along with her in helping to plan a big party for their family, provided everyone can prove they didn't have an infection.
Unfortunately, the dark thoughts kept creeping in for Juliet as she imagined all of her friends and family at the party wearing black to mourn her in a wake. Juliet tried to distract herself with a morbid game for family and friends, leaving Peri to leave because she couldn't face the stark realities of her girlfriend's situation.
Once they got home, Juliet broke down as she admitted to Peri she is terrified about her prognosis — and the prospect of admitting that her battle is over.
"I might only have weeks to live. How do I face up to that?" Juliet tearfully asked.

Even though the couple agreed they'd share the truth with Juliet's family after the wedding, they had no idea Donna-Marie was listening nearby.
"You don't have to do this, alright? Don't lie to me," Donna-Marie begged.
Juliet broke down as she explained that there's "nothing more" the doctors can do for her, and Donna-Marie embraced her as they cried together.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
