Hollyoaks airs powerful Juliet and Peri scenes in cancer storyline
Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks aired powerful scenes during Wednesday (February 22)’s E4 first-look episode as Juliet Nightingale frantically cut off her hair amid her cancer battle.
Peri Lomax has been doing her best to support Juliet, her girlfriend, through her cancer journey, but Juliet has been self-destructing and hasn’t exactly been taking the best care of herself to ensure her body has its best chance of reacting well to treatment. In fact, she even got drunk and arrested after accidentally hitting Zoe Anderson during Tuesday (February 21)'s episode, but, thankfully, wasn't charged.
In tonight’s episode, Peri asked Rayne and Lacey for advice on how she could get through to Juliet about her downward spiral. “She thinks she can use her illness to stop taking responsibility for her actions,” Peri shared, to which Rayne agreed.

“She’s in a cloud of self-denial. She needs to see herself. Really see herself,” Rayne said, hatching a plan to post a video of Juliet drunk the night before online to give her a wake-up call.
Only, the whole thing backfired, and Juliet was left livid when she found out Peri knew about Rayne’s plan and didn't stop her. Things only escalated further when Peri admitted to her girlfriend that she thought posting it online for the world to see would be a good idea, and things got heated between the pair.
“I wanted you to see the consequences of your actions,” Peri hit back, to which an angry Juliet responded: “Yeah, well maybe Ray needs to see the consequences of hers. Just go, Peri. I’ll deal with Ray my way.”

Later, Peri and Rayne had a talking down from Nadira over the video before Juliet stormed in to give the two a piece of her mind. “What else does Nurse Peri have to say about my life?” a sarcastic Juliet asked, as Peri broke down in tears and admitted she was “terrified” for her partner.
“I feel like chemo is your chance and you’re throwing it all away,” Peri said.
Juliet then assured her that’s not what she’s doing and she would be turning up for her treatment but didn't know how else to handle what she's going through.
“What do you want me to do, Peri? Because I can only handle this in the way I can handle this,” an emotional Juliet screamed, before things escalated to her grabbing the scissors and cutting off chunks of hair through tears as Peri, Nadira and Rayne looked on in shock.

After things calmed down, Peri and Juliet had a heart-to-heart as they down together and got to the root of why Juliet has been acting out.
"I know I was wrong. I just can't explain how I feel. I'm just angry. So, so angry," Juliet admitted, sharing how unfair she found her diagnosis at such a young age.
"I don't want to die," she then admitted, before crumbling into tears as Peri promised her she'd get better.
