Hollyoaks confirms return for Freddie Roscoe

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Charlie Clapham is reprising his role as Freddie Roscoe.

Freddie, who was last seen in 2017, will return to the village over the spring as a series regular.

Freddie will have a lot of catching up to do, especially with half-brother Darren, who will have his hands full over at the Osbornes' as he tries to reconnect with his estranged children.

Talking about his Hollyoaks return, Charlie said: "I’m extremely grateful and excited to be reprising a role that means so much. Get READY for FREDDIE."

Freddie was forced to flee Chester six years ago, after brutally attacking Nick Savage in a fit of rage.

Nick had raped Freddie's on-off girlfriend Ellie Nightingale, and Freddie was forced to go on the run afterwards to avoid police charges.

At the time, bad boy Freddie, who appeared in over 400 episodes of the soap, was one of the show's most loved characters, which saw him be nominated twice for the best British Soap Actor award and for Best Newcomer in 2014. He was also bagged the 'Sexiest Male' gong at the Inside Soap Awards.

Since leaving Hollyoaks, Charlie has a got a number of film credits under his belt including The English Estate, Velvet, The Hooligan Factory and KICK-ASS 2.

Charlie will also be seen in the sequel to Zack Snyder's hit Netflix Original film Rebel Moon.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
