Hollyoaks' Felix Westwood faces new danger after confession

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Felix Westwood faced a new danger on Hollyoaks following his confession to Sharon Bailey.

Felix has been struggling in recent weeks following son DeMarcus' departure, using the illegal world of bare-knuckle boxing as a vessel for his pain.

Last night's episode saw Felix reveal his exploits to Sharon, and tonight's (August 3) first-look episode saw the immediate consequences of his admission.

He implored her not to reveal his secret to girlfriend Mercedes or anybody else, but Norma overheard the pair and wrongly presumed they were having an affair. As they reconvened at Warren's garage, Norma found out the truth about Felix, and cast a keen eye as he practiced on his punching bag.

Despite telling Sharon that he was only fighting for the money, Warren revealed that the bouts paid "peanuts", leaving Sharon perplexed as to why Felix would put himself through pain.

Sensing an opportunity, Norma used the information in her arrangement with Terry, who had found his own way into her home; unbeknownst to her, Felix wasn't making much money.

Felix later informed Sharon of his desire to stop fighting for Mercedes, but she cast doubts on his pledge by reasoning that he would simply find another vice to unload his rage.

Her suspicions proved correct, with Felix swiftly partaking in his next bout as Norma and Terry watched. As the trio locked eyes, Sharon's words about his addiction replayed in his head; will he be able to resist the urge to fight?

Richard Blackwood, who has played Felix on the soap since 2020, recently spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about his character's storyline, promising that there would be "dark" times ahead.

"You are going to see layers to Felix. We have seen layers before and I think the audience now believe they know him," he teased. "Men, generally, have this bravado that we feel we need to upkeep and we don't necessarily see how that affects [them]."
