Hollyoaks hints at new romance story in opening titles change

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has a new potential love story in store for two recent additions to the cast.

The new opening titles sequence hints at a possible connection between Misbah's nephew Dillon, played by Nathaniel Dass, and Lucas Hay.

Ste's son has been recasted and is now portrayed by Oscar Curtis, a slightly older actor to match the more adult storylines the show will be dealing with.

In the new clip, Lucas catches the eye of Dillon, who looks at him with interest and curiosity. As Dillon recently opened up about his sexuality to his family, it is likely the two of them will be more than just friends.

Earlier this year, Hollyoaks executive producer Lucy Allan confirmed that the village's teens, including Lucas, will be exploring sexuality and love in new stories.

"We're bring in Oscar Curtis, who's the spitting image of Kieron aged 16!" Allan said of the recast. "Lucas is getting to the age where he is difficult to manage, and he's grappling with his sexuality."

In other Hollyoaks news, the soap has recently announced a new storyline for Norma Crow. The gangster played by Glynis Barber will come face to face with Terry Smart (Ryan Pope), a man from her past who ends up blackmailing her and getting on former police officer Jack Osborne's radar.

Though it isn't clear how long Terry will be in the village, his presence is guaranteed to wreak havoc for Norma.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
