Hollyoaks bosses have released the first pictures of the new-look Glenn Donovan.

Digital Spy exclusively revealed yesterday that the role of Glenn is being recast, with newcomer Bob Cryer taking over from Neil Roberts.

Speaking about his part for the first time today (November 17), Bob commented: "I'm delighted to be joining Hollyoaks at such an exciting time for the show and I couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome from this talented, hard-working and dynamic cast and crew.

"I've particularly enjoyed getting to know my new Donovan family. It's just as well we get on, because it's going to be a pretty bumpy ride for the characters from now on.

"Glenn trusts no-one and is always trying to keep people in their place. He's certainly got his work cut out with this lot."

Hollyoaks fans have already seen Neil's final scenes as Glenn, which aired earlier this week.

It's thought that Neil bowed out because new storyline ideas for Glenn didn't fit with his existing plans.

A show source told Digital Spy: "Storylines for Glenn have now expanded beyond what was originally planned, which has led to the role being recast."

Bob has previously appeared in The Brothers Grimsby, Legend and The Interceptor.

Hollyoaks will air Bob's first scenes as Glenn on Wednesday, December 6 on E4 and Thursday, December 7 on Channel 4.
