Yahoo News Hollyoaks reveals the truth about baby Sophie's return
Hollyoaks has revealed a devastating storyline twist for Sienna Blake – her baby daughter Sophie is still missing.
Sienna (Anna Passey) thought all of her prayers had been answered last week when she found Sophie on her doorstep, just a few weeks after the newborn had been kidnapped by Warren Fox.
However, in the closing moments of Monday night's E4 first look episode, Hollyoaks confirmed that Sienna has been imagining Sophie's miracle return.
The truth was revealed on screen when Sienna attempted to do a runner from the village with both of her twins.
Concerned for Sienna's welfare, Joel Dexter and Maggie Kinsella managed to track her down at the park – and there was panic all round when Sophie's buggy went rolling towards a lake amid the commotion.
Although Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) managed to catch the pram in time, he and Maggie were left horrified to see Sienna comforting an empty blanket – showing that she'd been hallucinating the whole time.
Sienna's delusions are a worrying sign that recent traumas have led to a relapse with her mental health, but viewers will have to stay tuned this week to find out whether she now gets the help she needs.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
