Hollyoaks star Dominic Power reflects on forgotten EastEnders appearances

Hollyoaks actor Dominic Power has been playing Dave Chen-Williams for just over a year now, and is also well known for big roles in The Bill and Emmerdale.

But Power has also appeared in another soap, on more than one occasion, and recently, the actor reminded fans of his time(s) in Albert Square in an interview with Inside Soap.

"I've been in EastEnders twice!" he explained. "One of my first-ever jobs was playing a motorbike courier giving a parcel to Grant Mitchell.

"It was the hottest day of the year, and the one line that I had, I messed up! I remember Ross [Kemp] saying to me, 'It's not as easy as it looks, is it?'

"A few years later, I had a very small part where I had to square up to Phil. I almost didn't want to do it because I felt quite scared of him!"

He also reminisced about filming some of his biggest scenes in Emmerdale and The Bill, with a really interesting bit of trivia about his appearance in the film The Impossible alongside Ewan McGregor.

"It was bizarre because they flew me out to Thailand for 24 hours, before I was flying straight back to Emmerdale for my first day on set!

"I remember being in Thailand feeling so jet-legged, and I'm looking bedraggled doing a scene with Ewan McGregor. The next thing I know I'm in the Woolpack thinking, 'I live a very strange life!'"
