Home Bargains is selling a 'fun' £1.99 food plate aimed at making dinnertime more enjoyable and encouraging children to eat healthier.

The plate is a visual experience, divided into three sections each designated for different types of food: protein-rich foods (including fish, meat, eggs, and beans), carbohydrates like rice, sweet potato and pasta, and finally, a section for fruit and vegetables.

Each section comes decorated with colourful illustrations of various food items, complete with smiley faces to make them more kid-friendly. The rim of the plate also features positive affirmations such as 'be happy', ' grow up strong' and 'eat healthy'.
