Homeowner discovers nuisance neighbour swiping expensive garden stones daily

A homeowner branded her neighbour a 'bloody nuisance' after discovering him gloating on TikTok about swiping her expensive garden gravel - sneaking a handful every day for three weeks. Sue Calwell was stunned to notice clumps of newly laid white 'Cotswold' stones had been disappearing from her yard in Blackpool, Lancashire, this month.

The 67-year-old only worked out it was Kieran Dobson, who lives in the house opposite, when a pal showed her his viral TikTok videos. The daily clips show him sneaking across the road to her garden, grabbing around 20 of the pricey stones and returning to create a decorative border at the front of his house.

The cheeky 31-year-old says he was renovating his garden three weeks ago [April 9] when he liked the look of 'expensive' gravel delivered to the house opposite. Sue has since called Kieran a 'bloody nuisance' but luckily found his mischievous stunt hilarious and pledged to reap 'revenge'.

Kieran says he pulled the prank as he knows Sue has a 'good sense of humour' and was inspired as she'd borrowed some gravel from him in the past. He boasts that care home owner Sue has never caught him despite 'around 400 stones' being taken and his videos earning more than five million TikTok views.

Users say they've been 'invested' in the prank and have loved Kieran's 'mischievous' laugh but others were not impressed said they would 'call the police' on him. Kieran plans to continue taking gravel and posting new videos until Sue catches him taking the stones herself.

Sue, from Blackpool, Lancashire, said: "He's a bloody nuisance. I can't believe it. I paid such a lot of money for those Cotswold stones, I thought 'what the hell is going on, there's like a ridge going each day'.

"It's all a good laugh, but I'll get him back, don't worry. There's going to be revenge. He's such a lovely person and has made this street a happy place. It's great to be able to have a laugh with your neighbour."

Optician worker Kieran estimates he's swiped around 20 stones per day, meaning around 400 stones have been moved into his garden. Kieran, from Blackpool, said: "They got a delivery of gravel that's double the price of what we purchased so knowing she's got a good sense of humour I thought I'd take some.

"I'm going to create a border in the front garden because their gravel is contrasting to ours and when we get a bit of sun it reflects even better off theirs than it does off ours. I thought I'd get a bit of it each day to make it as sneaky as possible. I think it's hilarious and I'm glad she wasn't angry.

"I'm an adrenaline junkie. I love riding roller coasters and jumping off bridges, but I can't do that all the time so this is the next best thing. They still haven't caught me to this day and she wasn't angry at all and now she's on a mission to catch me doing it.

"Around 99 per cent of people love it, but one per cent are being Karens and saying they'll call the police. You're either born with a sense of humour or you're not. If you have a neighbour you can't have a joke with then you need to move to another area."

James says he's pleased he'd made so many people laugh with the prank and he's pleased Sue found it funny when she told him that she knew. Kieran, who is performing in Footloose at Blackpool's Grand Theatre in July, has even changed his TikTok username to GravelMan.

One commented: "I'm invested in this."

A second said: "This kills me. Look at the border he's already got."

A third joked: "The evil, mischievous laugh gets me with every handful."

However, one said: "You have too much time on your hands."
