Horror as man, 62, viciously assaulted in Erskine pub
A police appeal has been launched after a 62-year-old man was hospitalised following a vicious assault at a Renfrewshire pub.
The wounded male was rushed to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital as a result of the attack at the Bracken Bar and Restaurant at the Bridgewater Shopping Centre in Erskine late on Saturday afternoon around 5.55pm.
He was later released from hospital. Police say the assault occurred within the building.
They have described the suspect as being white, aged between 35 and 45 years old and of medium build with black hair. He was wearing a black polo shirt with white trim, black jeans, black glasses and white trainers.
Police want anybody who may have witnessed the attack or has any information regarding it to get in touch with them.
Detective Constable James Campbell from Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Police Division said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police, or anyone with information to contact us. I would also ask anyone with any personal footage to please get in touch.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 2952 of May 11.
“Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
