Horses run amok in central London

STORY: Video showed a saddled white horse seemingly covered in blood running through the street alongside another, black one.

The Telegraph newspaper said the horses belonged to the Household Cavalry, part of the British army, and that they had run off while exercising at Horse Guards Parade, a ceremonial parade ground in central London.

The London Ambulance Service was called at 08:25 a.m. local time (0725 GMT) to reports of a person being thrown from a horse on Buckingham Palace Road in central London, a spokesperson for the service said.

City of London Police, the force in charge of the capital's financial district, said officers had contained two horses and were preparing to transport them to veterinary care.
