House of the Dragon‘s Season 2 will get underway in Summer 2024, HBO officially announced Saturday in conjunction with the show’s panel at Brazil’s CCXP23. The premium cabler also released a teaser trailer in which the Greens (the Hightowers, Aegon & Co.) and the Blacks (Rhaenyra, Daemon, etc.) rev up for battle.

“The war will be fought. Many will die,” Alicent intones in the first footage, above. “And the victor will eventually ascend the throne.”

Meanwhile, as gigantic scaly beasts lay waste to all manner of countryside (and people), Rhaenys makes sure that Rhaenyra knows one thing: “There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin, and no war so bloody as a war between dragons.”
