A Tudor maisonette once home to Anne Boleyn is set to be auctioned at £357k. Tucked away off the high street near Windsor Castle, Henry VIII's second wife lived in the four bedroom home while preparing for their marriage in 1532.

It functioned as an inn during this period and continued to do so throughout the following centuries. The site was licensed under names including 'The Hat or Plume of Feathers', 'The Hampshire Hog' and 'Queen Anne's Laundry' before it was eventually converted into a maisonette.

The 16th century home - which is Grade II listed - is spread across the first and second floor with Tudor-styled wooden panelling visible throughout the property.

A year after their wedding in 1532 Anne gave birth to the future Elizabeth I which upset Henry VIII who wanted a son. She had three miscarriages over the next few years and by 1536 Henry had begun courting Jane Seymour.

Henry then had Anne investigated for treason before she was tried and executed at the Tower of London the same year.
