A huge new bar will be opening in Manchester next week - and it's exclusively self-service. Established as the place to go in Nottingham where it was founded, the new spot will be located just off Oxford Road.

Opening its doors on Monday (8 July) at the Circle Square development, the bar will give punters the chance to brush up on their pint-pulling skills, and will have more than 20 beers and 16 wines to choose from, along with pizza by the slice.

The Tap House first opened in Nottingham in 2019 and was the first-ever self-service beer, wine and pizza house in the city. At the time, the bar was the latest venture for Sam Benjamin, founder of self-service wine bar, Another, and his brother Tom, who jointly manage the venue.

Spanning over two floors with ample outside space, The Tap House will be offering a huge 24 lines of beer to choose from, specialising in local breweries and hard to source brews. Unique to Manchester, it will merge concepts with its sister bar, Another, too.

Upon arrival, visitors will be greeted and taken to a table where they are assigned a personalised tab card. This card is then used to activate the dispensing machines on the 'beer wall'. When finished, punters can settle their tab and hand back the card.

At The Tap House in Nottingham the beer wall spans lagers, pale ales, PAs and stouts, while in the fridge there's a range of cans and bottles from a mix of breweries, plus non-alcoholic options. On the food side, customers will be able to grab pizza by the slice in varieties including marinara, margarita, pepperoni and inglesina, plus sides such as arancini, fires and olives.

To compliment the drink, the bar will also be serving up Fat Frank’s Pizza by the slice. And for those hungry enough - or sharing - there is a full 22 inch pizza to tackle. Prices for a pint will range from £5.50, wine is from £5.80 and a slice of Fat Frank’s Pizza from £4.50.

Tom Benjamin, co-owner of The Tap House commented: “Perfect pints you can pour yourself. Delicious pizza by the slice. Wine you’ll love and adore. We’re excited to finally open the doors and see The Tap House concept come to life here at Circle Square.”

The Tap House is set to open to the public underneath the Vita Living East building, opposite Symphony Park on Monday, 8 July. It joins a strong roster of bars and restaurants at Circle Square including the recently opened Onda alongside the likes of Federal and North Bar.
