Huge fire breaks out in Scots city as smoke seen billowing into sky

Fire crews have raced to a huge blaze in Inverness this morning.

Emergency services were called to Clachnaharry Road in the city after the alarm was raised at around 4.15am on Friday, April 19. It's understood the fire was sparked at the derelict Clachnaharry Care Home building, which closed in 2013.

Pictures shared with the Record show the extent of the incident with flames seen ripping through the building. A huge plume of black smoke could be seen billowing up into the sky as fire crews battled the blaze in the early hours.
