A huge US star has announced she will be playing two gigs in the UK this summer - and one of them is in Bristol. St. Vincent is listed among the best guitarists of the 21st century and will be playing at Bristol's SWX in May.

The multi-Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter will visit the Bristol venue on May 31, and it will be the only gig she'll play in the UK outside of London as part of her new UK/Europe headline tour. The Bristol date will kick things off, before she heads to the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, June 1 for a "very special date".

Then she will visit venues in Luxembourg and Belgium, before she plays festivals in the Netherlands and Denmark. Tickets for her Bristol date cost £30 (plus booking fee) and go on sale on Friday, April 12 at 10am - you can bag yours here.

Her Bristol show will follow the April 26 release of her seventh album, All Born Screaming. Her first self-produced record, it's described as 'an invitation to test the limits of what is possible–and to then keep going, brought to life with the aid of a highly-curated roster of friends - Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke'.
