Hull FC ratings as side beaten again but pride taken in Warrington defeat

Hull FC were defeated 24-6 at Warrington Wolves on Friday night. Here are the ratings.

Jack Walker - Brave in defence, really busy in the backfield, and tried to link into the line when he could. 6

Tom Briscoe - A positive return to the team. Got involved and contributed well, getting over a try late on. 6

Ed Chamberlain - Steady account again on his second appearance. 5

Liam Sutcliffe - Chipped in with plenty of backfield carries. He was also a threat on the limited good ball chances Hull got. 6

Lewis Martin - The young winger has stood tall all season and this was right up there with his best accounts. Had a lot thrown at him but never backed down. 6

Morgan Smith - Steady show before being replaced by Jake Trueman at half-time. He could be used in a different role next week. 4

Jack Charles - The young half-back kicked well and asked some questions with his running game. He's only 18. Easy to forget. He's got a huge future ahead of him. 6

Herman Ese'ese - Carried hard and put two big stints in after what was a stellar account last week. 6

Danny Houghton - Huge defensive effort as always. Tried his best to get Hull's middles rolling. Taken off late on. 5

Ligi Sao - Back at prop and much better for it. Everything just looked more natural, and the drop off when he and Ese'ese went off was notable. 6

Jordan Lane - Saw a bit of the ball and kept going. He's certainly not backed down this season. 5

Cam Scott - Cut inside and caused a couple problems. 5

Joe Cator - Carried, tackled, and gave everything as he always does in the middle of the field. 5

Jake Trueman - One classy try assist on his return to the side. There were one or two other moments, but the main thing is he is back playing, and hopefully, it stays that way. 5

Franklin Pele - Didn't see much of the ball in his stint on the field. That's his forte, and Hull need to be in the thick of it to get the best out of him. 4

Yusuf Aydin - Gave away a couple of penalties that would have disappointed him. But otherwise a fair account. 4

Jack Brown - Had a good stint on either side of half-time and put himself about. 5
