Hull KR winger secures permanent exit in fresh recruitment development

Hull KR winger Louis Senior will leave the club on a permanent basis at the end of the season. The Ireland international, who is currently on a season-long loan with Castleford Tigers, has agreed to join the club on a permanent basis after signing a two-year contract.

Senior left the club last month to join the Tigers, with his short-term loan extended as part of the deal that saw Jack Broadbent head the other way. Head coach Willie Peters indicated at the time that Rovers had yet to offer him a contract beyond his existing one, which expires at the end of the season.

And it has now been confirmed that he will not remain at the club next year, with Castleford securing a multi-year deal. Senior arrived at Craven Park ahead of the 2023 season and went on to make 18 appearances, scoring eight tries.

However, the arrival of Niall Evalds, provisionally brought in as a winger before his transition to fullback, and the subsequent signing of Joe Burgess saw him drop down the pecking order, with his only appearance of the season coming against London Broncos.

Senior will be one of two wingers leaving the club at the end of the season, with Ryan Hall heading to Leed Rhinos. However, Tom Davies is widely expected to sign from Catalans Dragons while Joe Burgess has signed a new deal with the club that will see him stay beyond the end of the season.

Furthermore, the club has some promising outside backs, such as Neil Tchamambe, while they recently had Frenchman Mathieu Pons at the club, and he is believed to have impressed, scoring twice for the reserves in victory over Leeds Rhinos. It's believed he may be offered a permanent deal moving forward. As such, the club has plenty of depth in that department.
