Human pet bed that's 'perfect' for napping to go on sale in Lidl

A unique type of bed described as “perfect for napping” will be available to buy in Lidl soon. Videos about human pet beds have acquired millions of views on TikTok and other social media platforms.

The product replicates dog beds, giving people the chance to snuggle up after a long day by themselves, with a partner or with their pet. One example is the Silentnight cosy cuddles snuggle pod.

One TikTok user, @SleepPpeopleUK, said the bed was the best way to “achieve the perfect nap”. They added: “This human pet bed is the perfect addition to any nap. It’s like a pet bed but it’s massive. It’s so cosy.”

Searches for human pet beds on Google have surged by over 53% in the past month. Recent research also claimed that two third of pet owners would rather snuggle up with their dog or cat than their partner.

As a result, a human pet bed will be available in Lidl soon. The Silentnight cosy cuddles snuggle pod will be placed in the middle aisle of its supermarkets across the country.

Priced at £69.99, it is claimed that the bed “provides an ultra-soft safe haven for shoppers looking to level-up their lounging and revitalise their reading nooks”.

Further description of the product says: “Whether cuddling up with a partner or snuggling solo, the washable crib comes complete with a high-grade foam mattress, making it the perfect addition to sleepovers, movie nights, and more.

“Also suitable for cuddling up with some pup-corn, or chilling with your cat, the pet bed comes fitted with a removable cover, machine washable fabric and waterproof material.”

Shoppers will be able to buy the Silentnight cosy cuddles snuggle pod in Lidl supermarkets from Thursday January 30 nationwide while stocks last.
