Humanitarian Aid Delivered to Balaklia After City's Recapture

Humanitarian aid was delivered to residents of Balaklia in Kharkiv Oblast after the city was recaptured from Russian forces earlier in the month.

“Since the de-occupation of the city of Balaklia and nearby populated areas, the community has been delivering and distributing humanitarian aid every day,” the Balaklia City Council said on Thursday, September 15.

The council posted a video on its official Telegram channel showing humanitarian aid distribution. Some of the trucks have the logo for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on them, and the council said the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, the United Nations World Food Programme, the council, Izyum and Kharkiv administrations, and “other charitable funds” were cooperating to deliver aid to residents in the city and nearby villages.
