Hundreds of Arrests Made, Dozens of Suspects Caught in Turkish Operation Against IS

At least 692 arrests were made in operations against Islamic State (IS) in Turkey between June 2023 and March 2024, the country’s interior minister said on Tuesday, March 26.

Footage released by Turkish Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya shows various arrests from the period.

Yerlikaya said 147 suspects were “caught” in the BOZDOGAN-17 operation, carried out against IS simultaneously in 30 Turkish provinces.

The figures have not been independently verified by Storyful.
