Hundreds of Turtles Swim Off Florida Coast After Being Released Into the Wild

The NOAA Fish Southeast shared a video on June 23 of a man releasing a turtle into the water off Florida’s east coast. The post said more than 200 turtles were being placed back in the wild.

It’s unclear why the turtles were being released, but the NOAA also tweeted to a news report that focuses on how to make the lives of sea turtles safe in currents used for shrimp fishing. Credit: NOAA Fish Southeast via Storyful
