It's been three years since Sarah West disappeared - and police have now renewed an appeal for information on the case.

North Yorkshire Police say Sarah left her home on Stepney Road, in Scarborough, early in the morning on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was last seen around 7.30am that day, on the A165 near Cayton Bay.

It's believed she was walking along the Cleveland Way path between Scarborough and Filey. Despite thorough searches at the time, and ongoing investigations ever since, Sarah remains missing. She would now be 49 years old, and is described as being:

  • 5ft 5ins tall,

  • of a very slim build,

  • with dark blonde/brown hair,

  • she may have been wearing glasses.

When she disappeared, Sarah is thought to have been wearing jeans, a light-coloured blouse top and brown flat boots, and may have been carrying a red bag.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "Our efforts to find Sarah are ongoing, and we're urging anyone with information that could assist in locating her to get in touch. Please call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room quoting reference 12210105681."
