Hunter Schafer arrested at Palestine protest near Joe Biden's “Late Night With Seth Meyers” appearance

Photos show the "Euphoria" and "Hunger Games" actress being taken away from the scene in handcuffs.

Actress Hunter Schafer was arrested at a pro-Palestine protest in New York City meant to "disrupt" President Joe Biden's appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers earlier this week.

EW has confirmed that the 25-year-old Euphoria and Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes actress took part in the protest inside 30 Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, as part of a Jewish Voice for Peace event that saw her wearing a shirt calling for an Israeli ceasefire.

"Hunter was arrested at the protest, along with 50 other people," a JVP spokesperson tells EW. "We commend her commitment to Palestinian freedom and to a future of justice for everyone."

According to a JVP Instagram post, the event was staged as a means to "disrupt" Biden's Late Night guest spot, with the group opposing the president's handling of ongoing violence in Gaza that has seen Israeli forces launch military operations in the region following an October 2023 attack on its citizens led by the Hamas terrorist organization.

Photos from the event appear to show police leading Schafer away from the scene in handcuffs.

EW has reached out to representatives for Schafer and Meyers for comment.

Schafer rose to prominence as a breakout star on HBO's drama series Euphoria, on which she plays Jules, a trans teen who forms an intense bond with Zendaya's Rue.
