Hurricane Tammy Moves Northward Through Atlantic

Satellite footage shows the sun rising on Hurricane Tammy as it moved north in the Atlantic Ocean on Monday, October 23.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said parts of the Leeward Islands were experiencing lingering heavy rains on Monday morning.

The storm was expected to bring rain to the British Virgin Islands and northern Leeward Islands throughout Monday, with maximum rainfall forecast at 12 inches.
