WATCH: 'I voted for Brexit because of straight bananas' says woman on Question Time
Who would have thought that the best entertainment on telly last night would come from a woman moaning about straight bananas?
An audience member on BBC’s ‘Question Time’ gave us a moment of absolute TV gold when she claimed she voted for Britian to leave Europe in the EU Referendum because she was sick of finding “straight bananas” in her local supermarket.
The woman caused a stir when she revealed her basis for “changing her mind” at the last minute.
She said: “I was voting Remain and at the very last minute I changed my decision and I went to Leave.”
She then confessed: “The reason because of that is because I go to a supermarket and the banana is straight. I’m just sick of the silly rules that come out of Europe.”
Whilst her fellow audience members gawped at her, Twitter errupted into a flurry of sniggers from those watching at home.

Well, I had a good sleep last night safe in the knowledge that my bananas will never, EVER, be straight #bbcqt

That woman on #bbcqt who changed from Remain to Leave because she apparently saw a straight banana in Aldi. This is what we’re dealing with.
