Ice Spice claps back at pregnancy speculation, says she’s ‘just phat’
NEW YORK — Ice Spice has clapped back at social media scuttlebutt about her being pregnant.
The Bronx-born hip-hop star addressed speculation swirling from a post showing what seemingly appeared to some to be a protruding belly.
“Nobody pregnant, [n-word]’s just phat,” Ice Spice responded on X to the commentary regarding her revealing outfit, which consisted of gray shorts and a partial mesh top.
Social media users initially began trolling the 24-year-old “Deli” rapper on social media writing: “R U PREGNANT????,” “Bae…that third picture. Tell me it ain’t so,” and “Who’s the father?”
“Wait is she pregnant for forreal?” one X user openly questioned, while another tweeted: “Baby bump? Stomach mark?”
Spice is coming off the success of a big 2023 that saw her winning the MTV Video Music Award for best new artist, notching two Top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, and performing on “Saturday Night Live.”
She also closed out the year by joining Doja Cat on “The Scarlet Tour” and earning four 2024 Grammy nominations, including one for best rap song for her “Barbie World” duet with Nicki Minaj.
With the A-list collaboration on Taylor Swift’s “Karma” under her belt, the red-hot, red-headed lyricist was recently announced as part of Coachella’s 2024 lineup alongside No Doubt, Lana Del Ray, Tyler the Creator, and dozens of other music acts.
