Among the throngs of avid Swifties set to watch Taylor Swift tonight in the Principality Stadium, spare a thought for the countless parents braving the star's three-hour marathon shows to accompany their children. One of those who has managed to avoid that fate is James Clarke.

He will be spending the evening in a different way while partner Sarah and 14-year-old daughter Ella attend the show - by watching a film in his car. See all the latest pictures from Cardiff in our Taylor Swift live blog here.

Speaking to WalesOnline after the family visited the merch stall at Stadium Plaza on Tuesday afternoon, Ella said it was her first time seeing Swift and proudly displayed the range of friendship bracelets she'd made for the occasion.

James explained that Ella was the Swiftie of the family and that he was not going to the concert as only Sarah and Ella have tickets. “I’m designated taxi for the night,” he laughed. “We’ve only got two tickets so they’re both going. I’ll go back and watch a movie in the car [while the concert is on].”
