Matt Hancock has made it to the final of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 after Mike Tindall was eliminated from camp.

The rugby player became the latest celebrity to leave the jungle ahead of the final and his wife, King Charles III's niece Zara Phillips, met him on the bridge at the end of the live show.

Tindall, 44, told hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly: "I'm good. It's been a long time, so you're getting ready, I can feel my body was getting ready [to leave].

"Going into the final week you say 'I'm happy to go', and then you get to the tipping point where you want to stay.

"It's been amazing journey, I think we've been very luck with everyone in there. Being in a team for most my life, I didn't expect it to be as good."

The sportsman, who was made a Member of the British Empire in 2003 after England won the rugby world cup, told his campmates the first thing he would be doing on leaving the camp was to book a facial.

Tindall washed in the camp pool wearing a tiny pair of tight, tropical print 'budgie-smuggler' swimming trunks.

He said: "It's just a thing - you wear trunks in the shower. It's bit of fun - get my pineapples out."

Tindall said of being a strong support for the other campmates to lean on: "I'm that type of person who always wants to be there for people and help."

He added: "Before I went in I imagined the worst case scenario and mine was much worse than any of it. Then you can deal with everything that's coming. I knew we were going to be hungry so you just get used to that pain and don't let it affect you."

Tindall is tipping footballer Jill Scott to win the show.

She is in the final three with former health secretary Hancock and Hollyoaks star Owen Warner.
