I’m A Celebrity: Chris Eubank Confirms Nigel Benn Rematch As He’s Voted Out

Chris Eubank has become the fourth happy camper to be knocked out of I’m A Celebrity.

The monocle-wearing boxer follows Yvette Fielding, Brian Friedman and Susannah Constantine, who have also been voted out by the Great British public.

During his exit interview with Ant and Dec, Chris confirmed his rematch with Nigel Benn is on. ‘Possibly’.

Nigel tweeted: “Mate I’m also fitter than ever. Let’s get this thing on @ChrisEubank but no more games #ImACeleb #bennveubank #boxing,” after Chris spoke about his rival in the jungle.

He told campmates: “I am not really competitive. I can easily always walk away and then I come to Nigel Benn, the bad blood between us is fierce. So I am not competitive, only with him.

“I got it the first time (he won), I drew with him the second time. He was born to activate me, he won’t leave me alone. He keeps asking for this rematch. If I do fight him again, he is not beating me.

“Of course there is a part of Eubank that wants to get back in the ring with Nigel Benn. If you are listening, I am in the jungle and I am getting fit boy.”

Responded to Nigel’s tweet after leaving the jungle, Chris said: “Well, as long as he accepts what we’re going to offer him. Yes, we’re possibly on… possibly.”

He also spoke about Lady Colin Campbell, who he became allies with during his jungle experience.

Chris explained: “She’s a mother figure. So naturally I gravitated towards her. She’s wise, experienced and knowledgeable and all of that I’m attracted to. That old-school gentlemanly conduct, always looking after and respecting your elders. Her conversation was invigorating and surprising.”

However, he added: “It’s not for me to criticise. I was hurt when she said what she said to Tony (Hadley). That was hurtful to Tony. I saw it draw the spirit out of him. But what can you do? I told him not to get involved.”

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susannah Reid on Good Morning Britain this morning, Chris also admitted that he was ‘shocked’ to hear that she’d left, saying: “I knew nothing about it until I heard the lady speaking over the airwaves. I don’t know anything about it at all. I’m as shocked and as stunned as you.

“As far as I was concerned, all the time she was in there I was her carer. She made sure no one pushed her arround. To me she looked like she was in good form in terms of her health.”

Lady C’s son Dima has since tweeted to tell fans that she’s ‘fine’.
