I’m A Celebrity: Spencer Matthews ‘Would Love Another Chance’ After Being Clean For A Year

During last year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, which was eventually won by Geordie Queen Vicky Pattison, Spencer Matthews was removed by bosses mere days after he’d arrived in the jungle after he admitted to steroid use.

The former Made In Chelsea star has spent the year since ‘cleaning up his act’ and tackling his steroid abuse, and has said he feels he’s ready to give the jungle another go.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, where he’d conducted an investigation into steroid use, Spencer was asked by Piers Morgan if he’d like a second chance at I’m A Celebrity.

In response, the star said: “I’d love a second crack at the jungle. My only three days in there were exceptionally fun, I had a really amazing time.”

Speaking about how ITV handled the situation at the time, Spencer added: “It was my mistake completely. The fact is these pills are dangerous and [ITV] didn’t know how long I’d been taking them.

“But also this is eight months ago now. Ever since I discovered how dangerous these pills are, I’ve turned my attention to trying to help others not use them.”

Spencer, who spoke to others about the consequences of such abuse in his investigation and stressed the importance of educating about the dangers that comes with using anabolic steroids, went on to say that he’s been ‘clean for nearly a year’.
