I'm a Celebrity... South Africa spoilers follow.

Former I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Kerry Katona has revealed why she turned down the opportunity to return to the jungle for the South Africa series.

Katona won the third series of the ITV show back in 2004, but decided not to take part in the current All-Stars spin-off, which features icons from the show’s past.

In fact, she's not even watching the show at all.

“I'm not watching I'm A Celebrity... South Africa because I'm too busy to watch any telly at the minute,” she wrote in her column for New! (via The Sun). “ITV asked me to be in it. I was already committed to another TV show, but also, I don't think the experience is something that can be re-lived.”

The cast for the All-Stars series includes Phil Tufnell, Janice Dickinson, Helen Flanagan and Amir Khan, with the latter admitting that he didn’t know many of his campmates’ names before his exit during the May 2 episode.

“To be honest with you, I didn’t really know anyone in camp when I entered. I’m really bad,” he said. “The only people I knew in there were [Georgia] ‘Toff’ [Toffolo] and Carol Vorderman.

“I’m also really bad with names, I always get names wrong but people made that a bit of a joke and had a laugh about it,” he added. “Luckily, they all had their names on the back of their T-shirts so sometimes I’d have a little peek at their backs as I couldn’t remember their names.”

Khan became the third celebrity to be evicted from the South African jungle following Shaun Ryder and Gillian McKeith, who were sent packing in a double elimination last week.

I'm a Celebrity… South Africa airs on Mondays-Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
