I'm a Celebrity's Sam Thompson opens up on Zara McDermott marriage plans
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! champion Sam Thompson has opened about his relationship with former Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott – and how the couple feel about marriage.
The Made in Chelsea star has been dating the former Love Island contestant-turned documentary maker since 2019 – and despite a dramatic split then recoupling in 2020, the couple are still going strong.
Speaking to The Sun, Sam explained that while he doesn't feel any pressure to propose just yet, he and Zara do speak frequently about the prospect of getting married one day.
"I'm so happy being with the person I know I'm going to spend the rest of my life with, I don't see any sort of rush at all," he said.

"We speak about marriage a lot, but there's no pressure to put a ring on it."
Sam also added that he and Zara have come a long way from the televised beginnings of their relationship.
"We're not on a TV show now where people are digging around and trying to figure things out that aren't there," he said. "We're in a different stage of our lives.
"The older you get, the more normal your relationship becomes. For New Year, we were asleep by midnight. I took her for dinner, we watched a film and went to bed. It was the best New Year's Eve we've ever had!"
Zara has previously said of the couple's relationship: "We're in such a good place. There's no need to rush or change anything, because I wouldn't be with Sam if I didn't want to be with him forever."

The pair have supported each other through their reality TV ventures in recent months, including Zara's recent stint in the Strictly ballroom and Sam's journey to be crowned King of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
Sam called Zara "unstoppable" ahead of her stint on the BBC One show.
"Zara handles pressure. She's cool," he said. "Zara's worked so hard that nothing, I don't think, will ever faze her. I genuinely don't."
While the show was airing, Zara returned the favour, sharing her pride in Sam and his relationships with his castmates.
"It seems to me that everyone has warmed to him in the camp!" she said. "I think it would be a very different camp without him there, he has created more fun and excitement for everyone."
Due to Zara's commitments to the Strictly finale and deadlines for two documentaries, she wasn't able to fly out for Sam's I'm a Celebrity stint.
However, she hosted a viewing party for family and friends so they could see him crowned as King of the Jungle.
A few days after the finale, the couple shared an emotional airport reunion on Sam's return to the UK, as he shared how overjoyed he was to be "reunited with the love of my life".
