Inside Sir Keir Starmer's home life with 'sassy' wife Victoria and food rule for kids

New Labour Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and his "sassy" wife Lady Victoria have been happily married since 2007.

Previously residing in a £1.75m townhouse in Camden with their two teenage children, the couple have now moved into Downing Street following the general election. Victoria, who initially trained in law, now works in occupational health within the NHS.

Discussing the potential move to 11 Downing Street, Victoria once told The Times: "If it happens, I won't want to leave Kentish Town." The couple first met when Victoria was a lawyer preparing some documents for Keir.

Recalling this on Piers Morgan's Life Stories, Keir said: "I said 'let's get her on the line' and just before ending the call I heard her mutter 'who the **** does he think he is?'"

In an interview with Vogue, Sir Keir fondly remembered their initial encounter, saying: "You might think, 'Not the best of starts,' but it was absolutely classic Vic," reports the ECHO.

He added: "Very sassy, very down to earth, no nonsense from anyone, including from me."

Both Victoria and Sir Keir are vegetarians, although he admits to eating fish now. They reportedly raised their children on meat-free diets, giving them the choice to start eating meat when they turned "about 10".

Speaking on the Table Manners podcast, he shared: "Until they're about 10 obviously they're just eating with us. So, we never did and at the age of 10 we said you can do what you like, and our boy said 'great'."

"The moment we go out there's a Deliveroo for Kentucky Fried Chicken or McDonald's, so he's taken full liberty with the licence to do what he likes."
