The best-performing primary schools in London have been revealed - and our map shows the 42 schools where every pupil met expected or higher standards.

MyLondon has mapped the schools that posted the best results at the end of Key Stage 2 for 2023 using government data.

Many factors can define a good school, such as providing a safe environment, pupils' happiness, the quality of teaching, and the support offered to families. But one important metric is the percentage of pupils meeting the expected or the required standard. This is based on progress scores for reading, writing, and maths.

At Key Stage 2 (KS2), the highest possible score is 120, and the lowest is 80. Any pupil who scores 100 or above has met or exceeded the expected standard.

Across all primary schools in England, 61 per cent currently meet the expected standards in reading, writing, and maths combined, up from 60 per cent in 2023 and 59 per cent at the end of 2022.

About one in 12 children - or 8 per cent - achieve a higher standard, the same proportion as in 2023 and up from 7 per cent in 2022.

But at some schools, the results are considerably better. The latest available figures show that at least nine in 10 pupils met expected standards in nearly 300 English schools last year.

That includes 41 top-performing schools where every single pupil achieved expected progress. Every region of England has at least one school where all pupils achieved expected standards, but the East Midlands has 14, by far the most.

That includes The Minster School in Nottinghamshire, where not only did every pupil achieve expected standards, but 57 per cent of children achieved a higher standard - the highest proportion of any school in England.
