CHURCH leaders, politicians, union officials and members of the public joined together to mark International Workers Memorial Day in Greenock this afternoon.

A short service was held in Clyde Square for the annual event.

It remembers people killed at work, as well as those who have suffered injury, illness or disease through their employment.

Rev David Burt presided over the short service and councillors were among those to lay memorial wreaths, led by Provost Drew McKenzie.
