Investigation launched after window smashed at Warrington mosque

An investigation has been launched after window was put through at a mosque in Warrington. Cheshire Police were called to reports of the criminal damage incident at around 9am on Monday (May 13).

The window was smashed at the mosque, on Arpley Street, before a man was later seen fleeing the scene. Images of a male that police would like to speak to are now being circulated by Cheshire Constabulary.

CCTV stills of a man wearing a black jacket with chequered lining, black trousers and a white top have been shared. Officers believe the man may be able to assist with the investigation.

Sgt Graham Robinson, of Cheshire Police said:“We are urging anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images, or the man himself, to come forward so that we can progress with our investigation.

“The same goes for anyone with information, or dashcam footage that may help.”
