Irina Shayk believes being a mum 'opens a new dimension of fashion'

Irina Shayk believes being a mother "opens a new dimension of fashion".

In a new interview with Elle, the Russian model explained that her style hasn't changed much since welcoming her daughter, seven-year-old Lea, with her ex Bradley Cooper.

"My style didn't change dramatically," Irina said of becoming a mother. "I like to wear comfortable clothes and I think that being a mother opens a new dimension of fashion for any woman."

The model went on to describe herself as a "minimalist" who doesn't follow trends and gravitates towards an ensemble featuring "black trousers, heels and a coat". However, she added, "If I do (follow a trend), mob wife is my vibe."

The catwalk star shared that she prioritises sustainable fashion by "buying less and really acquiring the things you love".

Irina also revealed that she will eventually pass on her carefully curated wardrobe to her daughter.

"We live in a time that we can re-sell pieces no longer used," she commented.

Elsewhere in the interview, Irina identified her favourite Met Gala outfit so far.

"My favourite outfit was Riccardo Tisci's Burberry dark blue velvet gown," she stated, referring to the blue dress with built-in gloves that she wore to the annual event in 2019. "It was so classy and iconic!"
