Irish MP's Musical Christmas Tie Interrupts His Speech in Parliament

Irish MP Aengus O Snodaigh was interrupted by his own novelty, musical Christmas-themed necktie as he made comments in Ireland’s parliament on December 15.

O Snodaigh, a member of the Sinn Féin party, began speaking about the threat of asbestos to people working in the parliament building when his necktie kicked off its rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Following his comments, Labour MP Jan O’Sullivan told O Snodaigh he should “turn off those ties” as they “might interfere with Santa’s flight path.” Credit: Oireachtas TV via Storyful
