But she admitted that she won’t be able to talk contracts with show bosses until she sorts out childcare for her 11-month-old daughter, Matilda.

The actress, who starred on the Street from 2000-2012, told The Sun: “I would absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street one day but it would have to work around Matilda.”

It’s already been reported that new Corrie boss, Kate Oates, is keen to get Helen back on board.

A source recently revealed: “Kate was going on about how excited she was to join the cast and crew in January and saying she couldn’t wait to get her teeth into the show … [she wants a return for] Rosie.”

Rosie was one of the show’s most popular young characters before her departure.

She was involved in some high profile storylines, including having an affair with her teacher as a schoolgirl, subsequently being kidnapped by said teacher (who incidentally had turned into a serial killer) and leaving boyfriend Jason Grimshaw heartbroken when she moved to London.

It looks like Helen is going to have a busy few months ahead of her. She’s tipped to be one of the celebrities heading into the Big Brother house this summer.

Reality fans will remember Helen miserably failing almost every single bushtucker trial when she starred on I’m a Celebrity in 2012.
