While some jobs are available on a temporary basis, there are other opportunities for more full-time work, or the potential to turn a fixed-term contract into a permanent role. Location: St Mary's
Description: Reporting to the quay manager, this role focuses on the day-to-day operations of the loading and unloading of the company vessels. Some of the main duties include: docking and undocking of company vessels, accepting and monitoring all accompanied and unaccompanied freight, ensuring customer service levels are met and maintained at all times, and maintaining operational procedures.
Pay: £23,500 rising to £27,000 per annum

Description: Tresco Island Limited is looking for an experienced head of finance/CFO to oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for all financial activities of the business and help to shape and implement the future strategic vision of the company.

Description: This is a seasonal role with a contract running until November 2024. Some of the main duties of the role include: undertaking front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, to consistently ensure a superb customer service experience, building a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly, using skills and experience to cope with multi-tasking in a high pressure environment, and being responsible for accurate and efficient guest billing processes.
Pay: £11.45 + per hour
Island Plumber
Location: Tresco Island
Description: Some of the main duties you will need to undertake in the role include: carrying out a regular maintenance program for all Island properties and equipment, using plumbing problem-solving skills to repair and maintain plumbing equipment and installations across the commercial outlets and residential properties of Tresco Island, ordering parts and equipment as required, and being on call for one week in four (including weekends) but available at all times if there is a plumbing or water emergency. This includes mains water and sewage checks.
Pay: Competitive pay plus on call / standby pay plus rent free accommodation
Cottage Cleaners and Housekeepers
Location: Tresco Island
Description: This is a seasonal role with a contract running until November 2024. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning guest accommodation to a very high standard, changing linen and ensuring all used linen is transported to the laundry department, performing inventory checks so that cottages are ready and fully equipped for the next guests, checking cottages for any maintenance or decoration issues and reporting these to the maintenance team, and assisting with the laundry and cleaning of other guest and staff areas across the island.
Pay: £12.50 + per hour
Kitchen Porter
Location: Tresco Island
Department: The New Inn, Ruin Beach Café, & Hell Bay Hotel
Description: In this role, your duties will include: collecting and washing up pots and pans, cleaning food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery, working under the supervision of the head chef and sous chef, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times, and assisting the line chefs with vegetable prep and other tasks around the kitchen.
