In light of the recent election, we here at CambridgeshireLive are launching a survey to understand which issues you, the residents of Cambridgeshire, believe should be the top priority for our MPs. Your feedback is invaluable as it will help hold our elected representatives accountable to the needs and concerns of their constituents.

With the conclusion of the 2024 General Election, Cambridgeshire welcomes a host of new MPs eager to address the pressing issues facing our communities. Going into the election six out of the then seven MPs representing the region were Conservative. However we have now returned six new MPs to Westminster to fight our corner and the Conservatives went from a majority in the region to having just two successful candidates, Labour and the Liberal Democrats both having three.

We want to give you the chance to have your voice heard by highlighting what issues are most important to you. Your opportunity to elect a new MP may have to wait for another five years, but that doesn’t mean you no longer have a say in what your MP can do for you.

Politicians, whether old or new, certainly have a lot of issues to tackle. Whether that be unemployment, immigration, the cost of living, all of them, or something more, we want to know which one they should be prioritising for you.

We have already seen this Labour government make announcements concerning housing and green energy. Maybe you agree these are the issues most pressing or maybe you think there’s something else we haven’t yet seen from them which needs immediate attention?

Together we want to ensure your voices are heard at Parliament. Thank you for participating and contributing.
