ITV Britain's Got Talent fans 'work out' identity of The Dark Hero after he refuses to reveal name

You never know what you're going to get on Britain's Got Talent, and the third episode of the ITV talent show didn't disappoint. Viewers at home were baffled as Batman arrived on stage - but was too shy to answer the judges when asked his name.

The mysterious performer wowed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli with a surprising operatic rendition of 'Defying Gravity'. And he did it all while suspended in mid-air.

While some baffled fans questioned why he needed the Batman outfit, others cheered him on and suggested they wanted him to win the show outright. Fans are certain they've worked out his identity.

They think he could well be a former Britain's Got Talent contestant.One viewer tweeted: "Guessing Batman was dressed up so he didn't speak to hide his identity. Whoever he is that was brilliant and one of my favourite musical theatre songs. #Gravity # BGT."

Another fan speculated: "Hasn't the guy dressed as batman been on before but as himself and made it through to finals. Is that why he didn't speak so he didn't have to say who he was and they'd know he was on before #bgt."

Another commented: "Why the f*** would you do opera dressed as Batman unless he is trying to hide his identity as a famous singer. #BGT."
