ITV The Chase's Mark Labbett celebrates anniversary with girlfriend at their 'special place'

The Chase star Mark Labbett has shared a special anniversary with his fans. The ITV quiz legend, who goes by the nickname 'The Beast', shared that he and TV presenter girlfriend Hayley Palmer had officially been together for a year.

He received an outpouring of love from followers after sharing a picture of them hugging on the beach. He explained the location held special memories for the pair.

Mark, 58, wrote: "One Year Anniversary. Same beach, same bench :)." In response, Hayley commented: "So happy."

The couple appeared on ITV show Loose Women yesterday, and revealed they had actually decided to date after meeting up on the beach. Hayley, 41, who presents Sky TV programme Saturday Night with Hayley Palmer, explained: "We're actually going, it might be quite sad to some people but to us it's really special.

"We're going back to the bench - we sat on a bench on a beach a a year ago and I think it was where we first thought actually this could be something."

The comments section was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from friends and fans. TV legend Paul Chuckle wrote: "Happy Anniversary."

A user named Cam wrote: "Best couple, you ooze happiness together." Another follower, Jack, simply said: "Congratulations! " And Sean joined in, wishing: "Happy anniversary to you both."

Hayley has openly discussed their connection before, mentioning how Mark won her over with his knowledge during an 80s-themed quiz segment on her show. But it was the sight of his Toby Carvery gold card that truly captured her heart.

On Instagram, she joked: "To confirm yes Mark has a Toby Carvery Gold Card and I'm trying to get my hands on it."
