ITV has confirmed that it has cancelled two comedies, after they each ran for just one season.

The shows in question are Deep Fake Neighbour Wars and Significant Other, with the broadcaster confirming the news to TV Zone originally.

A spokesperson told the publication that: "There are no plans for new episodes of Deep Fake Neighbour Wars. The full series will remain on ITVX for everyone to enjoy and sits alongside the many other comedies on the streamer."

"Significant Other was a great addition to the comedy season on ITVX last year but sadly it won't be returning for a second series. We'd like to thank the cast and crew for bringing the show to our screens," the spokesperson added.

Deep Fake Neighbour Wars used technology to make celebrity impersonators look even more like the famous faces they pretended to be, and then had them living the suburban life and getting into petty domestic squabbles: 'Idris Elba' getting irate at having to share a communal garden with new neighbour 'Kim Kardashian', for example.

Significant Other starred The IT Crowd's Katherine Parkinson as a lonely woman who has a dramatic first meeting with her neighbour, and the two soon embark on an unexpected relationship and start to come out of their shells.

Meanwhile, ITV is set to premiere new reality series Drama Queens next month, which will feature multiple soap stars and showcase what their day-to-day lives are actually like. EastEnders and Hollyoaks star Rita Simons and Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon are among the actresses taking part.

As stated in the synopsis, Drama Queens "promises exclusive access to the cast’s professional commitments, as they juggle late-night finishes, photo-shoots, and last-minute line learning, with their family lives".
