ITV has confirmed its new weekend morning schedule, with the broadcaster announcing two brand new series.

As well as a return for Katie Piper's Breakfast Show for a third season, 2024 will see the introduction of The Chris McCausland Show on Saturdays and Jimmy and Shivi's Farmhouse Breakfast on Sundays.

McCausland's show will see the comedian immerse celebrity guests "in his audio world with interactive games", the series promising "humour, insights and inevitable shenanigans" as well as live acoustic performances.

Jimmy Doherty and Shivi Ramoutar's Sunday series will be "packed with food, family and lifestyle from the barn on Jimmy’s thriving family farm in the beautiful Suffolk countryside – Farmhouse Breakfast HQ".

Meanwhile, Piper's series has doubled in length to 22 episodes and will now air across Saturday and Sunday mornings, as guests and experts join the Loose Women star in the studio for "feelgood features, entertainment and inspiration".

“Our new weekend morning line ups on ITV provide a mix of brand new formats and talent, plus a returning favourite," said ITV's head of entertainment commissioning Katie Rawcliffe.

"Away from the studio, Jimmy and Shivi’s Farmhouse Breakfast will provide a wholesome start to your weekend mornings; we’re excited to welcome the funny talents of Chris McCausland with his brand new chat show; and we’re delighted to welcome back Katie Piper now across both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Your weekends start with us on ITV.”

The commissions come after ITV axed Laura Whitmore and Oti Mabuse's respective weekend Breakfast Shows.

"Since commissioning the weekend morning breakfast programmes, we have used these shows as an opportunity to showcase both established and up and coming presenters," a spokesperson said last week.

Digital Spy further understands that while the broadcaster was impressed with Laura and Oti's hosting skills and personalities and plans to continue working with the two, they wanted to keep the weekend slots fresh.

Katie Piper's Breakfast Show, The Chris McCausland Show and Jimmy and Shivi's Farmhouse Breakfast will air later in 2024.
